When I'm not capturing weddings and events, I'm a homebody and mom to an adorable and feisty little three year boy named Magnus.

I live a very simple life with my family close to the mountains in Somerset West and nature is also where we spend most of our free time together.

I'm originally from Mpumalanga and moved down to the Western Cape 14 years ago to pursue my dream of wedding photography.

I've over a decade worth of experience traveling both nationally and internationally and what I enjoy most about my work is meeting people from all over the world.

A few things about me:

  • I was raised Afrikaans and can speak both Afrikaans and English fluently
  • I grew up in a town in Mpumalanga and moved to Cape Town at the age of 23 to pursue my dream career.
  • I was a journalist before I became a wedding photographer. I covered hard news stories like accidents and violent crimes. A very far cry away from my line of work now.
  • I hate cooking. Luckily I married someone who enjoys it.
  • I have a HUGE sweet tooth
  • I met my husband via online dating
  • We named our son after one of my husband's favourite Youtube rock-climbers

“Wow!!!! These photos are soooo beautiful! You are truly amazing at what you do. Thank you so much for making us look not so awkward. We truly cannot thank you enough!”

““We are terribly awkward in front of the camera and having photos taken was an element of our wedding that we were dreading. But Yolandé made it an absolute delight, and in fact one of the most special parts of our day in the end was our couple shoot as we just got a moment to take everything in after our ceremony while having a little walk - we almost forgot Yolandé was even there! She managed to completely capture the atmosphere of the day and so many special moments and glances without being invasive.””

““When you choose a photographer from across the world you choose based on their social media and website. So we already knew Yolandé’s pictures would be stunning.
My husband and I are not big photo takers and generally quite awkward in life!
Yolande made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her. The most awkward couple ended up dancing, twirling and kissing in front of the camera with no awkwardness in sight.
There are not enough thank you’s in the world. We love every single picture.””

“"Thank you for rolling with the punches, with us. We appreciate the fact that despite all the last minute changes, the postponement and everything else - you were always a call away!

You have helped make our day the most memorable day of our lives and it also turned out to be something that was beyond anything we could’ve ever imagined. Thank you for capturing it as well as what you did.

Thank you for the amazing photos.
We could not thank you enough for it."”

You are absolutely incredible and these photos are stunning!!! We are thrilled.
You truly did an amazing job capturing our day and we are so very grateful!””

““Such a lovely, genuine person! Made us feel so incredibly comfortable.””

“As ours was a destination wedding, we only met Yolande 3 days before our wedding for our couple shoot. We had the best session with her. She is professional, down to earth and easy to get on with, and so easily sets the tone for a wonderful session.

Then came our wedding day which she captured so magically that whenever I look at our photos I feel like I relive the day and night. Yolande just possesses that natural ability to put anyone at ease, and slotted into our wedding party like an old friend.”

“Thank you so so much! Each and every photo is absolutely stunning! We feel so lucky to have had you capture our special day. Your work is amazing!”
